Description
A monarch butterfly alights on a lavender flower cluster against a green background. Its orange and black wings are in focus and catching the daylight, while both greenery and flower are softer and less defined.
This acrylic painting is done by both myself and my husband, Steve Sutton. I blocked out the general shapes and painted the soft focus objects, while he put in the lovely details of the butterfly. We both signed it under the near wing. This is the first piece we've done together, and after he felt it was finished, Steve mentioned he'd like to do more pieces together.
