Description
Three round hay bales stand in the golden hay field under a cloudless blue sky. As I sat down to paint, I wondered what subject I wanted to do, and the phrase, "Make hay while the sun shines," popped into my head. I pass a hayfield on my way into town, and last week the farmer baled up hay and I thought while driving by, "I should paint that."
This is my first sketch of the hay field, done in only a couple hours in watercolor on paper. I'll likely do more, probably in other media.
