This is so beautiful. I did not know you first had to undercoat everything in white. The pinecones are my fav. :-)

Donna, I picked that tip up in a YouTube video - lighter colors need the white underneath to get good contrast when using black paper. Thank you for the kind words - I was pleasantly surprised how well the pinecones came out after my previous attempt, which will not be posted!

I liked the unfinished stage too. It had a cool, minimalist look. But this more finished version is perfect for a Christmas card.
