Description
The lovely pink flowers of an ornamental cherry tree against the blue sky. The cherry blossoms bloom for only approximately one week in the spring, then the soft pink petals fall to the ground like a gentle rain of color. I painted this watercolor study with only three colors: cobalt blue for the sky, rose red for the blossoms, and burnt umber for the branches and stamen tips.
